Demand Planner
About the Role:
As a pivotal member of a cross-functional business team, you will take the lead on monthly Sales and Operations Planning process. You will also play a critical role in managing the demand forecasting process across multiple product categories.
Responsibilities:
Crafting the rolling monthly demand forecast in SKU level by gathering insights from historical sales and key players
Monitor inventory
Order inbound transport from partners’ factories abroad to warehouse
Develop and maintain demand forecasts for assigned product categories using statistical forecasting techniques
Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and promotional activities to identify demand patterns and adjust forecasts accordingly
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, and operations to gather information and incorporate it into the demand planning process
Monitor inventory levels and work closely with the supply chain team to ensure optimal inventory management
Identify and communicate potential supply and demand imbalances
Generate regular reports and present forecast accuracy and performance metrics to key stakeholders
Continuously improve and refine forecasting processes and systems
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field
Proven experience in demand planning, preferably in a consumer goods or retail industry
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze large data sets and draw meaningful insights
Proficiency in demand forecasting techniques and tools
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Attention to detail and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in demand planning
