Country Manager (Oncology)

JUST ONE, on behalf of its client, a Global Healthcare company (the 2nd largest pharmaceutical company in APAC), is looking for a:

Country Manager (Greece)



The company is creating from scratch its affiliate in Greece.


Role reporting to the Regional Oncology Head Mid-Sized Countries (based in Germany).


Purpose of the Job:

The Country Manager Greece will have full profit and loss responsibility for financial results, sales targets, and competitive performance. The position is based in Greece, Athens. The CM will be responsible for Commercial, Medical and Market Access and championing cross functional teams to help grow the company business. He/She will work to transform and build the business providing vision, leadership, and entrepreneurial energy to make the most from the exciting opportunities and challenges ahead in the targeted therapy areas and ensure that the company will be recognised as a strong and credible partner in the field of Oncology.



Responsibilities:

  • Develop and articulate the strategic long-term vision of the brands, maintain a long-term focus, identify market changes and new growth opportunities to maximise portfolio and brand potential

  • Ensure market preparation and internal launch readiness for new upcoming launches

  • Build and maintain relationships internally (with global, region and local) as well as externally (AZ & MSD alliance) and championing cross-functional teams

  • Ensure that strong external relationships across KEEs, as well as other key stakeholders are built and maintained

  • Manage and oversee the development of an effective brand strategy and marketing plan for all brands, and ensure successful operational execution across the market

  • Develop local business plan across the Therapeutic Area portfolio in line with global strategy and local needs

  • Prepare sales forecasts and establish and implement sales targets

  • Lead and monitor product launches, tracking KPIs and budget implementation to ensure success

  • Develop the team, lead allocation and deployment of resources, drive talent development and performance management with a forward-looking view of future required capabilities including talent planning and capability assessments, coaching and mentoring direct reports, succession planning and oversight of recruitment

  • Manage operational sales & marketing budgets

  • Role model values and comply with internal policies

  • Develop a tactical customer-centric stakeholder engagement plan for Greece in alignment with the Medical Affairs and Market Access functions and provide internal and external support as required

  • Proactively monitor and adjust the engagement plan to build scientific knowledge, gather competitive intelligence and enable effective decision-making in achieving the overall objectives

  • Take personal ownership for maintaining an expert understanding of all relevant information (scientific, regulatory, access, competition, etc.) for Oncology brands, translate it into business implications and communicate actionable directions to the team

  • Proactively seek to understand competitor activities, strategies and programs and ensures that the competitive intelligence is shared broadly within the organization - promote best practice sharing on a national/cluster level


Requirements:

  • Successfully led a company/medium BU or complex organisation with P&L responsibility

  • Successful track record in product launches, preferably in Oncology

  • Strong track record in building and managing relationships with key Medical and Scientific Institutions

  • Strong commercial, operational and financial acumen

  • Track record of strong leadership and development of people and organisation with an inspiring and empowering leadership style

  • Experience working in a matrix organisation and working collaboratively in inter-company alliances

  • Entrepreneurial experience in forming sustainable teams and organisational structures in a complex environment

  • Broad understanding in therapeutic areas mainly BC, LC and GC and their standards of care.

  • Good understanding about ADC technology

  • Deep understanding of customer and market needs

  • Fluency in English; Greek language skills are beneficial.
