Technical Manager (XR / AI / 3D)

Technical Manager

Their multidisciplinary teams of engineers, creatives and domain experts collaborate with UNESCO monuments, leading museums and tourism partners to transform complex heritage stories into engaging, data‑driven digital journeys.

To strengthen their technical and operational leadership we are recruiting on their behalf a Technical Manager (XR/AI/3D) who will be responsible for directing a cross-functional technical team to ensure the quality delivery of commercial and research projects. The position demands an Agile and strategic leadership approach, focusing on efficient resource allocation, continuous technical oversight, and actively contributing to the company's technology roadmap and vision.

Responsibilities:

• Agile Leadership & Coordination: Lead the cross-functional technical team in an agile way and facilitate all agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives).

• Resource Management: Plan, allocate, and optimize resources across all technical disciplines.

• Project Delivery & Quality: Oversee technical project execution and ensure deliverables meet performance, security, and scalability standards.

• Risk Mitigation: Monitor risks, dependencies, and timelines, proposing and executing mitigation actions.

• Strategy & Architecture: Support the definition of the long-term technical roadmap, provide input on platform architecture, and identify opportunities for optimization and automation.

• Technical Compliance: Review specifications, designs, documentation, and source code where necessary, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and best practices.

• Commercial Support: Prepare technical sections of bids, proposals, and grant applications, translating customer needs into clear technical requirements.

Requirements:

• Experience: 5+ years of experience managing cross-functional technical teams in Agile environments.

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Technical Depth: Solid understanding of software development, XR technologies, AI/ML concepts, and 3D/content production pipelines.

• Management Skills: Hands-on experience with sprint planning and backlog management.

• Organizational Skills: Strong ability to plan, prioritize, and allocate resources effectively across multiple projects.

• Quality Oversight: Proven experience ensuring high-quality technical delivery and reviewing architectures.

• Communication: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts clearly.

• Strategy & Innovation: Demonstrated ability to contribute to technical strategy, roadmap planning, R&D and innovation initiatives.

• Asset (Optional): Additional certifications in Agile, Cloud, XR, or AI are considered an asset.
