Wholesale Credit Manager

JUST ONE on behalf of its client, one of the leading Groups of the financial sector in Greece, is looking for a:


Wholesale Credit Manager


Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with the respective Group commitments to the Supervisory Authorities, the European Institutions and auditing bodies, regarding Credit Policy issues.

  • Assure compliance of Wholesale Corporate Banking credit requests with the Bank’s Credit Policy rules and regulations.

  • Manage the credit underwriting process of Wholesale Corporate Banking Clients (regular and ad-hoc) and contributes to the early identification of potential credit deterioration triggers.

  • Promote best practices at a Group level, aiming to enhance the credit quality of the Wholesale Banking portfolio.

  • Design and introduce processes to facilitate proper credit monitoring and manage early warning signals of credit deterioration.

  • Drive the preparation of regular and ad-hoc reports, requested by internal and external stakeholders (including regulatory authorities), in cooperation with other business areas of the Bank.

  • Participate in the compilation and modification of the Bank’s Credit Policy rules and regulations, in cooperation with respective business areas.

  • Perform ad-hoc site-visits to Wholesale Banking customers, in cooperation with the relevant business areas, as part of the pre-approval and/or regular monitoring process.


Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Economics Banking, Finance, Business, Risk or in any other quantitative related discipline.

  • A Master’s degree in any of the abovementioned fields.

  • CFA and/or other relevant certification shall be considered a plus.

  • At least five (5) years of related managerial experience in Wholesale Banking Credit or Wholesale Business Banking of Financial Institutions, Project/CRE Financing, Infrastructure/Energy Financing Schemes, International Syndications.

  • Complex problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Solid communication and negotiation skills.

  • Distinct decision-making skills.

  • Ability to effectively lead and manage a team.

  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Excellent command of the English language (both written and spoken).
