JUST ONE, on behalf of its client, a contract development and manufacturing organization specializing in the development and manufacturing of value-added medicines, generics, and new chemical entities, is looking for a:
Senior Financial Accountant
Responsibilities:
Statutory Accounting and Financial Reporting
Maintains the ERP’s chart of accounts and dimensions in accordance with Group policy and local GAAP
Prepares the annual financial statements applying automation principles
Participates in the month end closing
Assists the business departments with the application of accounting practices
Ensures the timely collection of receivables and payment of vendors
Coordinates with the external specialists in the preparation of the R&D incentives plans
Compliance
Oversees the work of one internal accountant and coordinates with the external accountants on taxes and payroll
Must be able to prepare and/or supervise all tax returns
Oversees the work of the external accountants relevant to the VAT representatives
Reviews accounting entries and ensures they are compliant with the tax legislation and relevant GAAP
Submits statistical and other statutory reports to the relevant public authorities
Coordinates with the external specialists on the preparation of the annual TP Summary listing and TP Files
Identifies gaps in the governance policies and internal controls and assists in the remedy in coordination with the finance director
Follows, promotes, and enforces relevant SOPs, Job Aids & Company policies
Automation / Projects
Is an agent of digital transformation – identifies automation opportunities and takes initiative to implement them
Oversees the proper implementation of MyData and maintains its ongoing function
Assists in the implementation of the running and upcoming automation ERP/IT projects
Assists in the transition from ΕΛΠ to IFRS
Assists in Group wide digital transformation projects
Requirements:
University Degree in Accounting/Finance
10 years of experience in a relevant role
A’ signatory right
Very good tax knowledge to perform day-to-day tax tasks
Ability to coordinate with external advisors for advanced tax issues
Good knowledge of accounting standards (ΕΛΠ / IFRS)
Proficiency in handling ERP and relational databases, knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV is a plus
Proficiency in MS Excel
Excellent command in written/spoken English
Post education in the area of accounting/taxation is a plus but not a prerequisite
