JUST ONE, on behalf of its client, the leading manufacturer of Ballast Water Treatment Systems, offering its services to shipping companies, is looking for a :
NPI Electrical Engineer

The Product Development Engineer - Electrical undertakes the design and development tasks and technical studies for the product development and product lifecycle management for the Ballast Water Management systems.
The role reports to the Technical Product Manager.
Role based in Athens (Perama)
Responsibilities:
Actively participate in the product development process through redesign of equipment and new ideas generation – NPI (New Product Integration) in a timely and efficient manner within the given deadlines
Analyze, review, and technically accept new components, materials, and technologies and evaluate functionalities for new product development keeping a cost excellence mindset
Assess and analyze feedback from installed systems, provide improvement solutions and ensure they are introduced to standard product upon design review process
Create documentation for all activities performed during the whole development phase including Technical Reports, Functional Specifications, Technical Instructions etc. and communicate it to stakeholders
Lead in-house testing for product prototypes in collaboration with the relevant departments.
Support activities related to certification and environmental tests for system components such as definition of test scope, test plan, MTOs etc.
Collaborate with automation engineers to ensure product update is in line with system capabilities
Perform market research in collaboration with the purchasing dept. to identify new components and technologies to support product development and prototyping activities
Communicate with suppliers to acquire technical information for new and existing products and approve/revise technical specifications
Responsible to maintain Product key documents (Installation Manual, Installation Guidelines, Standard P&IDs, Standard Electrical Diagrams, Project Handbooks) and ensure that they are always up to date and all changes are properly communicated to all affected stakeholders
Provide technical assistance to the project team when dealing with customized projects
In collaboration with the certification department follow up Classification Societies Rules and Certification requirements and verify that product upgrades are in line with the most recent updates and revisions.
Conceptualize and develop standard electrical diagrams and cabinet layouts, perform short circuit and voltage drop calculations. Be responsible for the maintenance of CAD/PDM system
Qualifications & skills:
A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred
Previous experience in product development and industry-specific product experience is advantageous
Experience with business software (E-plan and/or AutoCAD) and report writing programs. Experience in PDM software (EPDM and Vault) is advantageous
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Excellent math, creativity, and problem-solving skills
Sound technical background
Clear and effective oral and written communication in English
Strong sense of urgency and common sense
