Implementation Manager - Vessel Performance System


Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading and coordinating the company’s resources and activities in the area of the data collection system(s) that we install on board the vessel.

  • Ensure a thorough engineering design, H/W production, on-board installation/commissioning, and customer technical support for all the data acquisition needs of our customers.

  • Manage and orchestrate both internal and 3rd party resources (subcontractors, vendor suppliers etc.), as well as ensure top customer communication, relation and satisfaction.

  • Process improvement and optimization together with top quality are areas of continuous enhancement, striving towards maximizing efficiency in resources and cost.

  • Responsible for creating yearly budgets and overseeing their successful execution.

  • Collaborating closely with various teams (internal, subcontractors, suppliers, customers etc.), you will ensure that projects are delivered on schedule and within budget, maintaining a high level of quality and adherence to organizational objectives

  • Member of the Management Team

  • Hire contractors and build teams - Determine the need for training and talent development

  • Provide clear and concise instructions to engineering teams and check for technical accuracy

  • Lead projects that produce new designs, products, and processes

  • Coordinate work with other managers and staff


Requirements:

  • University degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering

  • Proven work experience as an Engineering Manager or similar role for at least 3-5 years

  • Electrical officer experience onboard ships will be considered a strong asset

  • Analytical skills for evaluating information carefully and solving complex problems

  • Communication skills for overseeing staff and working with other management personnel

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to catch minor errors which can result in major problems

  • Organizational skills for keeping track of various budgets, employees, and schedules
