Environmental Director
Responsibilities:
Planning, organization, coordination and control of waste management operations
Ensuring and Controlling Environmental Variables and Parameters for waste management operations
Evaluation of suppliers and contractors to meet environmental standards
Conducting audits in all areas of waste management operations (collection, transport, storage, final management) regarding the control of quality, quantity, environmental, technical and other parameters
Management, coordination and training of Environment Directorate personnel
Training - control of implementation of Technical Specifications for all operational functions of the company
Ensuring the achievement of quality waste management goals in accordance with Legislation
Requirements:
Graduate School of Technical Direction (Environmental Engineer or Chemical Engineer University) or other Technical University Engineering specialty
Postgraduate education in environmental management and/or Business Administration
Knowledge of Environmental Legislation / Specifications
At least 5 years of professional experience in solid waste management
At least 5 years of professional experience in corresponding administrative positions
Experience in the environmental permitting process of projects and activities of waste management units
Experience in contractor audit and compliance with environmental requirements, regulations and certifications (ISO 14001 etc.)
Desired experience in alternative waste management – professional experience in SED
Desirable experience in positions of Technical Manager or Production Manager in waste management companies
Experience in contractor evaluation processes and selection of new ones through tender processes
Experience in specific Partnership Development Projects (or in general project management)
Knowledge of Environmental Audits Procedures
