Claims Officer

JUST ONE, on behalf of its client, a multinational insurance company, is looking for a:

Responsibilities:

Handling Property, Engineering, Marine Cargo, General Liability, Special Risks Insurance & Reinsurance claims of national and multinational corporate accounts
Evaluating coverage, taking position on liability, evaluating damages and negotiating settlements
Making coverage determinations, investigating the loss, conducting an independent assessment as to the company's exposure
Participating in developing and implementing the most cost-effective and timely disposition and litigation plan to ensure the claims closure via settlement or litigation
Cooperating with legal counsels in preparing defense in litigated claims
Claims reporting for supervisors, Home Office and clients, brokers and maintaining loss updates
Managing subrogation / claims recoveries
Handling and enhancing insurers, reinsurers, adjusters and broker relationships
Working with Guidelines, fixed deadlines and Home Office tools / platforms

Requirements:

Min. 3 years in Claims Handling in Commercial & Corporate Insurance / Reinsurance business
Proven experience in handling Property, Engineering, Marine Cargo, General Liability, Special Risks Insurance, and Reinsurance claims
Strong skills in evaluating insurance coverage, liability determination, damage assessment, and settlement negotiation
Ability to conduct independent investigations and develop accurate assessments of company exposure
Experience in working with legal counsel to prepare defense strategies for litigated claims and execute timely resolutions
Proficiency in preparing claims reports, maintaining accurate loss records, and using Home Office tools and platforms
Strong relationship management skills to enhance cooperation with insurers, reinsurers, adjusters, and brokers
ECDL or high level of use of MS Office
Excellent Knowledge of English
